  • I support and value all kinds of birth. My role may look a bit different, but I am prepared to support vaginal births and Cesareans, as well as medicated and unmedicated births. I attend hospital births, birth center births, and home births with a midwife present.

  • You can reach out as soon as you get your positive pregnancy test! It's never too early to meet your doula and start developing a relationship. Because our first meeting happens in the 20-25 week range, it's ideal to sneak in our consultation around then.

  • Absolutely! Doulas do not only support unmedicated births and doula support if not just about pain management. Even with an epidural, there can be physical discomforts and certainly mental and emotional challenges. We can assist with position changes within bed, provide companionship throughout the labor, and utilize other comfort measures discussed ahead of time. We can also normalize some of the new sensations and side effects that can commonly appear with epidurals.

  • A person in labor can't have too much support! And we are there for your partner as well, to make sure they are getting the rest, nutrition, and guidance that they need to be a fully present and involved partner that is also experiencing a big transformation! We complement the partner's role rather than taking it over. Your partner is your emotional anchor and safe place as the person who knows you best. We fill in in any way that makes sense for the moment and can instruct your partner on how to support you as well.
